Getting Rich Slowly, Welcome to a Different Pace of Life

Saving Money

When we’re 18 and start working, the money we earn makes us want to buy more things.

By the time we get to 25 we want even more. And before we realise what’s happening, we’re working more than ever to earn money to pay for all the things we own but don’t need, and we never have time to use them anyway because we’re too busy working to earn the money to pay for them.

Sound familiar?

Then it’s time to get off the consumerist treadmill, spend less money, stop buying things you don’t need so that you don’t have to work so hard to pay for it all.

Remember: Shopping is not therapy. It’s diversion.
